PURPOSE:To prevent erosion, deformation, etc. of a fine Al pipe by holding the Al pipe in dies, pouring a molten metal into the dies and feeding a cooling medium under pressure to the Al pipe. CONSTITUTION:An Al pipe 4 is supported at both ends 5, 6 in the cavity 3 in separable dies 1, 2 and is held in a prescribed position. Molten Al is poured into the cavity 3 and at the same time a cooling medium is fed under pressure to the cavity from both ends 5 of the pipe 4. The Al pipe is cooled by the cooling medium, by which overheating is prevented. Erosion, holing, deformation, etc. are therefore not generated in the pipe 4 in the stage of embedding the pipe 4 by casting. |
