PURPOSE:To improve the work efficiency by providing a plurality of collets for every pellet size such that the used collet is change over with every change of a pellet size. CONSTITUTION:A pellet 1 from a pellet jig 2 is temporarily placed in a pocket hole 6b of an intermediate pocket 8 by an intermediate collet 5. The pellet 1 is adsorbed by a collet 8b having an adequate size and bonded to the fixing surface of a lead frame 9 which has been fed there. When the size of a pellet 1 is changed, the lead frame 9 is moved by a predetermined distance to the conveying direction by means of motors 15 and 13, whereby a pocket hole 6a and a collet 8b reach to the positions of the pocket hole 6b and the collet 8b. Thus, the different size pellet can be bonded with the collet 8a. For bonding a pellet having a still other size, a collet 8c and a pocket hole 6c are moved to the bonding position so that the pellet can be bonded by means of the collet 8c. |
