Transmitting and/or receiving device for electromagnetic radiation

Electric signals must be transmitted between a rotatable and a fixed area of a transmitting and/or receiving device. The invention provides for signal transmission on an optical path without electrical connections by assigning at least one electro-optical converter to one area and at least one electro-optical converter to the other area and by providing an optical transmission path, e.g. an optical waveguide line with an optical rotating joint or the ray path of an optronic device between the converters. A signal transmission of this type replaces electrical connections and can be simply integrated into existing systems. The invention can be used for signal transmission in transmitting/receiving devices with a rotatable and a fixed part, e.g. in radar installations or optronic devices.
