PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-fixable microencapsulated toner good in granular characteristics and fixability, and offset performance, capable of forming a good image free from fog, and good in durability of a fixed image by incorporating a specified silicone compd. in a toner. CONSTITUTION:A toner contains a silicone compd. represented by the formula shown here in which R is >=2 C, preferably, 4-40 alkyl or alkenyl. The presence of R enhances compatibility with the toner resin, and an effect as a lubricant. This silicone compd. is added to the outer walls and/or the core material of the toner, preferably, to the core material in an amt. of 0.5-10wt% of the microencapsulated toner. In manufacturing this toner, the interface polymn. method can be effectively used, the outer walls can be easily formed by this method, and the functional separation of the core material and the outer walls can be made easily. |
