PURPOSE:To simply install a protecting device, by a method wherein a recess, formed in a shape whose cross section is similar to that of metal fittings, is formed on the surface of a flexible member, incorporating a reinforcing layer at a lower part and mounted to a concrete structure by means of metal fittings. CONSTITUTION:The longitudinal direction of a rectangular rubber sheet 6 is directed in the direction of the width of a river, and the three sheets 6 are arranged in the direction of the flow of a river. Side edges 7a of canvas 7 on a side edge overlapping part 6a of the adjoining sheets 6 are overlapped with each other, the overlapped side edges are positioned with a ditch part 5 in a weir 1, and an inverted trapezoid-shaped metal retainer 11 is placed thereon. A peripheral edge part 6b of the sheet 6 and an inverted trapezoid-shaped ditch part 9 in a central part 6c in the direction of length of the sheet are positioned with the ditch part 5 in the weir 1, and the press metal 11 is placed thereon. Thereafter, anchor bolt insertion holes 10 and 14 in the canvas 7 and the press metal 11 are engaged with an anchor bolt 16, and a nut 17 is screwed on the forward end of a bolt 16 to tighten the bolt with the nut to attach the sheet 6 to a surface 4 of the weir 1. |
