PURPOSE:To switch the connection of a control line by data terminal interfaces (IF) themselves to reduce the burden of a central control equipment by transmitting classifications of terminals, which are connected between data terminal IFs, as discriminating information between these data terminal IFs to exchange information. CONSTITUTION:Discriminating information which discriminate classifications of terminals connected to data terminal IFs 2a-2n and 4a-4m are inserted to information of pingpong transmission, and, for example, data D5 in transparently transmitted information is used, and data ''1'' is inserted to this data D5 from IFs 2a-2n, to which data terminals 1a-1n are connected, and is transmitted and data ''0'' is inserted to data D5 from IFs 4a-4m, to which MODEMs 3a-3m are connected, and is transmitted. In IFs 2a-2n, control lines are connected in accordance with classification of the other-party terminals on a basis of said discriminating information. In this case, switching of a selector 14 is controlled in accordance with discriminating information (data D5) from the other-party IFs 2a-2n and 4a-4m stored in a receiving register 13. |
