A freight container, intended primarily for air freight, consists in frame construction of profiles which are connected to one another at the corners. The openings between the profiles are closed by panels attached to the profiles. Corner connectors, preferably made of plastic, are arranged in each case at the container corners. Arms extending from a corner piece of each corner connector engage in corresponding receivers in the profiles running in each case up to the relevant corner. The receivers are to grip around the respective arm in each case resting closely against it. <IMAGE>
