Drive for steerable vehicle wheels

In certain applications extremely large negative steering swivel radii may be appropriate for steerable vehicle wheels. In steered wheels of this type the torque transmission for drive purposes or for braking by mechanical means cannot be accomplished using known means since neither does the necessary installation space exist for the drive nor can all the kinematic conditions be met. The proposed wheel arrangement and the adapted torque transmission ensure kinematically sound power transmission under all operating conditions.
