The stairway comprises a plurality of steps which progress in height one after the other and are preferably connected to one another in a self-supporting manner. According to the invention, each step comprises at least two parts which are firmly connected to one another, to be precise one upper tread-covering part, made of a convexly pre-stressed board, and a lower dimensionally stable supporting part.
