PURPOSE:To focus a photographic lens on an object to be photographed whereever this object is on a photographic screen, by outputting the signal which focuses the photographic lens on the object in a selected focus target. CONSTITUTION:An incidence position detecting circuit 13 which detects the incidence position of a luminous flux on a PSD3, a light emitting element driving circuit 27 which lights successively light emitting elements 1a-1e in time series, a signal converting circuit 47 which converts the incidence position signal to a distance measuring signal, and a control circuit 109 are connected through signal lines 23-25 and 41-45. The incidence position detecting circuit 13 outputs a voltage proportional to variance of the incidence position of the luminous flux on the PSD3 to the signal line and outputs incidence position information converted to digital data to signal lines 23-25. The light emitting element driving circuit 27 flickers connected elements out of light emitting elements 1a-1e in accordance with a clock pulse from an oscillating circuit. The converting circuit 47 controls outputs of signal lines 73 and 74 in accordance with input and focus the photographic lens on a basis of an object position signal. |
