Earthing devices (1) in encapsulated switching installations are frequently also used for measurement purposes on the switching installation. This is not possible directly, however, since the stationary mating switching element (10) of the earthing device (1) normally carries earth potential and must therefore be arranged in an insulated manner for measurement purposes, and is to be connected to earth potential via detachable links. The invention is based on the object of improving the earthing device (1) such that it can also be used for measurement purposes on the switching installation, in a simple way.
