PURPOSE:To perform thread guard work reliably and smoothly to an automatic high speed revolving winder employing inexpensive bobbins without breaking the bobbin by not contacting the contact roller and the bobbin at the start of work. CONSTITUTION:An air-cylinder is functioned to separate the contact roller 3 from a bobbin 15. Then a thread removing guide 2 is rolled to the contact roller 3 side and to move a thread guard arm 14 through manual operation of handle 13 thus to position the thread guard guide 19 within the locus to be described by the bobbin holders 16, 18 when rotating the turret 2. Then thread is hooked to said guide 19 to increase the speed of the bobbin holder 16 at the thread guard side near to the normal winding speed thereafter the turret 2 is rotated to hold the thread by means of the bobbin holder 16 at the thread guard side. At the sametime, the contact roller 3 under rotation is contacted against the circumferential face of bobbin 15 mounted on the bobbin holder 16 at the thread guard side. |
