PURPOSE:To correct contrast accurately and obtain soft gradations by deciding on the quantity of subexposure according to the correction quantity of density to the automatically determined quantity of exposure. CONSTITUTION:Light from a main exposure light source 1 is passed through a filter group 2 for adjusting the quantity of main exposure of three primary colors R, G, and B and a mirror box 3 to illuminate a color photographic film 4. The filter group 2 consists of three filters. Pieces of information on the three colors R, G, and B of the film are measured by photosensors 12R, 12G, and 12B and the filter group 2 is controlled automatically by a main exposure controller 5. Three subexposure light sources 9R, 9G, and 9B which have turn-on time and brightness controlled independently are provided and have filters 10R-10B to irradiate color photographic paper 7 with diffused light beams R, G, and B without image information. The main exposure controller 5 is provided with a correction density key 5A additionally and the quantity of subexposure is also determined.
