Installation for regenerating a mixt. of spent anionic and cationic exchanger resins contains a resin separator, an ultrasonic resin purifier and a resin mixer, arranged vertically to one another. The resin separator is in the highest position, the purifier is directly below the separator and the mixer is directly below the purifier. A device is provided for conveying the spent resins to the separator, a device for allowing the resins to fall, by gravity, through ultrasonic purifier down to resin mixer; a device for actuating the ultrasonic purifier while the resins fall through it, so as to remove the impurities from resin; a device for charging a liq. carrier, e.g. water, countercurrently to resin, to carry impurities removed from resin to the separator, and also a device for removing the impurities from the resin separator. Plant serves partic. for purifying and chemically regenerating resins used in a condensate treatment system, esp. for a nuclear energy plant. Waste water quantity is reduced, e.g. from 38000 l. to 3800 l. Space is saved. Resins can be regenerated in which ratio cationic : anionic resin varies greatly. The separator can be used as anionic resin regenerator tank and the mixer as cationic resin regenerator tank. |
