STEAM CONVERTER APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To effectively remove dissolved oxygen in feed water in a steam converter during the operation of plant, by arranging an N2-gas supply apparatus in the water feed tank of the steam converter to form an N2-gas atmosphere in said tank. CONSTITUTION:When a power plant is started, feed water 3 transferred from a condensed water booster pump 1 is stored in a water feed tank 2 in high dissolved oxygen content and transferred to a degassifier 8 through a drain cooler 6 by a water feed pump 2 and degassed under heating. The residual dissolved oxygen concn. of feed water 15 is reduced to about 50ppb by this degassifier 8 and stored in a steam converter 10 through a pipe 9. An N2-gas supply apparatus 23 is arranged in the water feed tank 2 so as to cover feed water 3 in the water feed tank 2 with N2-gas and the dissolved oxygen concn. of feed water 3 at the time of usual operation can be held to 50ppb or less and said feed water 3 is sent to the steam converter 10 and stored therein.
