PURPOSE:To perform a compiling process with acceptance of new functions given in response to the increase of specifications and without regarding a prescribed reserved word as a reserved one, by providing a reserved word list store part containing reserved words and at the same time securing such a constitution where a word/phrase analysis processing part fetches the contents of the reserved word list store part and then decides whether or not the words/phrases in a source program are reserved. CONSTITUTION:With the 1st reserved word access means 2, a user displays when necessary the registered reserved words in the form of a menu for selection. Then the user can rewrite the reserved words including the validity display bits or register reserved words newly when necessary. With the 2nd reserved word access means 3, the user can register the reserved words newly with use of cards and change the validity display bits into invalidity display bits for the specific registered reserved words. Under such conditions, a word/phrase analysis processing part 5 fetches the contents of a reserved word list store part 4 and then checks whether each word/phrase on a source program 1 is reserved or not.
