PURPOSE:To improve a reliability of a device by generating a processing path for avoiding an error generated in the device, by a microprogram, and continuing and maintaining a device function. CONSTITUTION:An instruction code of an instruction to be executed is set to a register R1, and by this code, information as to whether a microprogram stored in a memory 1 is prepared in a memory 2 or not is brought to access. A counter C counts the number of times to be retried, when an error is generated in the course of executing the microprogram, and also by an address generating circuit 3, an address for executing an access to the memory 2 in response to an output of the register R1, a flag setting means F, etc., is generated. In this regard, in case of a retriable instruction, a microprogram for executing its instruction is stored in the memory 2. In this way, in response to a count number, etc. of the counter C, other microprogram is read out of the memory 2, and retrying is executed.
