PURPOSE:To erase easily an optional part by moving an image sensor of a prescribed reading width in a prescribed direction on a blackboard, reading a character or a graph drawn on the blackboard and also wiping out the read part with a wiper having the same width as that of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:A board 12 is fitted to a case 11 of a blackboard and a manual scanner 13 is moved in a prescribed direction when a character or a graph drawn on the board 12 is inputted to a line head sensor 21. The scanner 13 is provided with the sensor 21, and a wiper 20 having the same width as a read width of the sensor 21 and a distance/speed sensor 22 are provided and they are held to a grip section 23. A data from the scanner 13 is inputted to a scan control section 30, and a main control section 40 processes the data. Then a peripheral equipment such as a CRT display 70, a bit mat memory 50, and a keyboard 80 is used, the character or graph drawn on the board 12 is inputted with fidelity and an optional part is erased with simple operation.
