PURPOSE:To render a copying apparatus compact by exposing an original while it is moved on a forward course, and automatically executing backward movement after the end of the forward step to return it in an original insertion stand. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 14 rotates anticlockwise in the direction of arrow C, uniform electrostatic charging is given on its surface with a charger 1, an original image is projected with a converging light transmission array 37 to form an electrostatic latent image, and it is developed with a developing device 16 also serving as a cleaner. A transfer paper placed in a paper feed cassette 28 is taken out one by one with a paper feed roll 29, conveyed through a paper feed guide 30 to a register roll 31, and timing is accorded there with the visualized toner image on the drum 14. The paper is refed, passed through a conveying guide 32, and brought to a transfer region. The toner image on the drum 14 is transferred to the paper with a transfer device 20, the paper is separated from the drum 14 with a separating piece 25, and sent to a fixing device 21 with a conveying roll 26. |
