PURPOSE:To realize a collect call service by allowing a device to be called to connect a line and transmit a picture signal after the line is disconnected by call request information of a caller devce. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic transmission/reception control section 14 reads a destination telephone number from an automatic transmission/reception storage section 16 through the indication of a control section 1 and gives an indication to an automatic dial section 15, the dial section 15 generates a dial tone and makes a call through a line control section 13. Then an exchange station selects a terminal device B by using the dial tone, transmits a call signal to a destination, the line between the terminals A and B is connected from the response from the terminal device B and the time supervision is started. After the connection of line is confirmed, a binary signal is transmitted/received between both the terminal devices A and B, and the state such as a terminal device or a transfer line is confirmed. Then the terminal device A receives collect call information to the terminal device B stored in the storage section 16, the collect call is confirmed, the line is disconnected and a call is given to the terminal device A, the terminal device A disconnects the line and waits for the call from the terminal device B.
