PURPOSE:To obtain the concentrated control device excellent in handling including installation and maintenance by a method wherein the operation and stopping of a plurality of air conditioners are controlled separately or in group by the main body of the concentrated control device while remote controllers for operating respective air conditioners are permitted to control corresponding air conditioners. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted so that only a terminal equipment (a) for operating an air conditioner, called up by a CPU1 at the main body (b) side of the concentrated control device, is operated by an operation signal outputted by CPU14 in accordance with the content of a commanding signal. When an operation command information is inputted into the main body (b) of the concentrated control device, a commanding signal is supplied to the base of a transistor 112 and electric current flows through a luminous element 201. When it emits light, a light receiving element 202 is conducted and a commanding signal from a commanding signal transmitter 2 is induced at both ends of an emitter resistor 213. The signal is inputted into comparators 217, 218 to compare it with a reference voltage and a signal of HIGH or LOW is inputted into the CPU14 to control the device whereby a predetermined operation or the operation of a compressor, for example, may be effected.
