PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time of an image by binarizing an image pickupped image so as to store it in an optic RAM and reading out it based on a preset sequential read address so as to execute its arithmetic. CONSTITUTION:The image data from a subject to be detected 16 is binary coded and stored in the optic RAM11 through a video optical system 18. A table memory 12 stores the preset sequential read address in the optic RAM11, and reads contents stored in the optic RAM11 according to an address signal from the table memory 12, whereby a processing circuit 13 executes arithmetic based on the stored contents. Accordingly a reading action can be done at a high speed, and the image processing time can be shortened. |
