PURPOSE:To attain recording independently of restoring processing by providing plural storage circuits of a picture signal for plural scanning lines' share restored, starting recording operation to the circuits at a point of time when plural scanning lines' share of information are stored and recording the information in a constant speed asynchronously with the restoring processing. CONSTITUTION:The transmitted picture signal subject to compressing coding is restored at a restoring section 9 and stored once in line memories 17, 18. When all scanning line memories A1-A4 of, e.g., a memory 17 in the memoris 17, 18 are occupied, a pulse motor control section 12 drives a pulse motor 14 with a signal from a restoring section 9 independently of the restoring section, a feeding roller 15 pays off a recording paper sheet 16 and also a recording head 13 starts recording. The picture signal restored at any time is stored in one-scanning memories B1-B4 of the other memory 18 in recording operation and when the memories are occupied, the recording is conducted in succession to the recording of the memory 17. Thus, the feeding of the recording paper sheet and the recording independently of the restoring processing of the picture signal are attained.
