The feed for forming wrapping paper tape from a reel has a support for a storage reel (1) from which the paper (c) may be pulled by a pair of motor driven rollers (3). It has a pair of pressure rollers (5) to selectively temporarily brake the paper. There is a tape cutter to sever the tape included between the pairs of rollers. - The second pair of rollers can be operated simultaneously with the feed rollers for the advancement of material between them, and can be combined with a free wheel. The latter allows the cut section to be restrained and removed by an operator pulling on it. The feed rollers can be controlled via a detector mounted between the roller pairs. (1/3)
