The equipment allows work oto be carried out dry on an underwater structure with a non-flat surface, particularly a cofferdam with grooves. It comprises a caisson with two vertical walls and a bottom (4), brought into contact with the cofferdam, against which it is pressed while being pumped dry. - The bottom has sealing plates (21) adjustable in the horizontal direction and slid into the vertical grooves (13) of the cofferdam (6). The edges of the caisson walls and bottom, and also those of the plates, are clad with strips of foam rubber (5) or similar resilient sealing material.
