PURPOSE:To enable the generation of various wipe pattern key signals based on a relatively simple basic data by generating a key signal by utilizing a digital arithmetic method. CONSTITUTION:A basic key signal generator circuit part K2 is controlled by a control signal S1 of a key signal control circuit part K1, and a basic key signal FKO is given to a key signal forming circuit part K3, which transmits various key signals S3 to a signal selection buffer circuit part K4 in accordance with a condition signal S2 given from the outside. The circuit part K4 selects and stores one out of various key signals in accordance with a transition mode selecting signal S4 and transfers storage data to a key signal output circuit part K5 in the specific timing. The circuit part K5 outputs a key signal synchronizing with a video signal from the transferred data in timing of horizontal and vertical video synchronizing signals HD and VD.
