APPARATUS FOR RECOVERING SENSIBLE HEAT OF METALLIC STRIP AT HIGH TEMPERATURE

PURPOSE:To remove a molten salt stuck on a metallic strip effectively by supplying steam generated by the molten salt to a squeezer in case of removing the stuck molten salt with the squeezer through directly cooling the strip at high temp. with said molten salt. CONSTITUTION:A strip 1 at high temp. is immersed in a molten salt 3 in a tank 2 via a deflector roll 5 to cool and taken out via an immersion roll 4 and a deflector roll 5'. At this time, the molten salt 3' stuck on the strip 1 is removed with a squeezer 10' by a jet. Heat transfer tubes 8 are provided in the molten salt 3' in said tank 2 and a secondary refrigerant (water) 9 is supplied therein and evaporated. The steam is controlled with a pressure control valve 14 and a flow rate control valve 13 and supplied to the squeezer 10' via a supplying pipe 12 and ejected on said strip 1. By this way, the molten salt 3' stuck on said strip 1 can be removed effectively and recovery of the sensible heat is performed sufficiently.
