摘要 PURPOSE:To allow a quick charge and improve the efficiency of a power supply by eliminating a charge current limiting resistor and arranging a diode provided in parallel with a charging/discharging capacitor, a charging switching element and a power supply smoothing capacitor on a printed board. CONSTITUTION:When a pulse is applied to the base G1 of a charging transistor Q1 to turn it on, a current I1 flows from a power supply E, a capacitor C1 starts charging, the current I1 is linearly increased by the impedance of stray inductance L3, and the charge voltage VC is gradually increased, thus allowing a quick charge. When the application of the pulse to the base G1 is stopped to turn the transistor Q1 off, a current I2 due to the energy stored in the inductance L3 flows to further charge the capacitor C1. The current I1 and voltage VC to the capacitor C1 can be adjusted by adjusting the pulse width. Accordingly, when the capacitor C1 is charged and a pulse is applied to the base G2 to turn a transistor Q2 on, the voltage VC is applied across the gap between a work W and an electrode P, and a discharge is started.
