PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having high flame-retardance as well as excellent material properties and moldability, by compounding a flame-retardant to a halogenated ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer rubber. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a halogenated ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer having a halogen-content of 5-35wt%, a Mooney viscosity of about 20-200, an iodine value of about 3-30, an ethylene content of the ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer rubber of 80-95 mol% before halogenation, and the alpha-olefin carbon number of 3-10 with (B) 5- 50pts., preferably 10-40pts. of a flame-retardant. The base polymer of the rubber is a copolymer wherein the molar ratio of ethylene to propylene, 1-butene, etc. is 50/50-95/5.
