PRODUCTION OF STEEL PLATE FOR ELECTRIC RESISTANCE-WELDED STEEL PIPE

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce a steel plate for an electric resistance-welded steel pipe having improved weldability by casting a billet having a specific thickness in the specific solidifying time down to the central part and using the same as a blank material for rolling. CONSTITUTION:A billet having <=60mm. thickness is cast within 2min of solidifying time down to the central part and such thin billet is used as a blank material for rolling. The steel plate for an electric resistance-welded steel pipe having excellent weldability without producing weld defects such as hooks, cracks, etc. is thus stably mass-produced.
