PURPOSE:To make it possible to display three different types of pictures on one CRT screen simultaneously by decoding and processing multiplex signal of animations, still pictures, character information and command information in a display device and by containing an animation/still picture/character memory device in one cabinet. CONSTITUTION:Signals of multiplex animations, still pictures, character information and command information transmitted from a transmission line 9 are separated by a decoder 10 and the animation information is written in an animation memory 12 as it is. On the other hand, still pictures, character information and command information are processed as a picture based on the command information in a processor 13 and written in a still picture/character memory device 14. Data written in both memory devices 12 and 14 are read out in accordance with a timing generated by a timing generator circuit 11, and added to an OR circuit 15. The output from the OR circuit is D/A converted by a D/A convertor 16, and an animation, a still picture and character information are simultaneously displayed on a CRT6 by a drive circuit 6. |
