<p>PURPOSE:To prolong the life of each component and simplify the maintenance operation, by preventing the rise in temperature in the housing which houses a light-source part, and simplifying the replacement of consumable stores. CONSTITUTION:Sheet-shaped paper 3 is made to flow through the gap formed by disposing an irradiation part 1 and a light-receiving part 2 so that they face to each other. The detection part is supplied with a purged air to perform measurement. The heat generated in a light-source part 8 is dissipated in a covering part 9 through heat-radiating fins 19. The purged air forms a flow passage comprising an inlet 5, the inside of the housing 4, an inlet 21, the heat-radiating fins 19, an outlet 22, a duct 11 and an outlet 6. Being throttled between the inlet 21 and the purged air outlet 6, the flow is made fast. The heat-radiating fins 19, which are effectively cooled, prevent the rise in temperature in the housing 4. The lamp 8 can be replaced by loosening thumb screws 15 and 15'. Also the belt 33 can be replaced in a short period of time, because of a single flange type pulley 30, which simplifies the removal of the belt 33.</p> |
