PURPOSE:To house an electrode plate group in a battery can with ease without removing an adhesive tape by holding the electrode plate group with a holding jig and cutting the adhesive tape with a cutter, and thereafter housing the electrode plate group in the battery can. CONSTITUTION:An electrode plate group are spirally wound while allowing a separator 3 to be interposed between a band-shaped positive electrode plate 1 and negative electrode plate 2, and immediately thereafter an adhesive tape 4 is tightly wound around an outer periphery of said electrode plate group into a slightly thinner diameter than an inner diameter of a housing battery can 5. With this state, after the electrode plate group is held with a holding jig 6, the adhesive tape 4 and the separator 3 are cut off in part by means of a cutter. And, after the lower parts of the electrode plate group are slightly inserted in part in an opening part 7 of the battery can 5 in a direction of an arrow, the electrode plate group are completely inserted in a state where the electrode plate group are loosened due to their repulsion force until the lower parts of the group reach the bottom 8 of the battery can 5. Thus, the electrode plate group can be housed in the battery can 5 with ease. |
