PURPOSE:To sufficiently reduce an increase in the diameter of a gas charged spring and abrastion in a flexible membrane coupling section which are caused by elongation of bias cords or a flexible membrane, by making the twist coefficient of the bias cords in the flexible membranes small. CONSTITUTION:A flexible membrane 1 in an air spring has a plurality of bias cords in one or more layer embeded therein, in order to reinforce thereof. The bias cords 6 have a twist coefficient set as 130<=t<=500 which is indicated by t = (D)<1/2>Xtwist number where D denotes a denier and the twist number is indicated by a twist number in each 10cm long of the cord. With this arrangement, the elongation of the bias cords 6 or the flexible membrane 1 may be reduced so that an increase in the diameter of the gas carge spring and abrasion in the coupling section of the flexible membrane may be prevented. |
