MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having excellent runnability and durability by providing a back coat layer contg. fine particels of a black nonmagnetic inorg. material consisting of Cr2O5 on the rear of a nonmagnetic base. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic layer is provided on the main surface of a nonmagnetic base and a back coat layer dispersed with fine particles of a black nonmagnetic inorg. material consisting of Cr2O5 is formed on the other surface by a coating method. The magnetic recording medium having a small coefft. of friction of the rear surface, excellent runnability and durability, good resistance to scratching and low light transmittance is thus obtd.
