PURPOSE:To prevent temperature rising due to the radiant heat of a thermally fixing device in a photosensitive body, by providing a heat insulating member between the fixing device and photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating member 3 is provided between fixing rollers 21 and 22 and a photosensitive body 1 to block the radiant heat from the fixing rollers 21 and 22 so as to prevent the radiant heat to the photosensitive member 1. The heat insulating member 3 can turn around a fulcrum 31. When this copying machine is not operated, a solenoid 37 is turned off and, therefore, the heat insulating member 3 is pulled by a spring 34 fixed to the main body of this copying machine at a fixing point 33 and set to the position shown by the solid line in the figure because the member 3 is stopped at the position by a stopper 38. When a main motor is turned on and the photosensitive body 1 is rotated at the time of copying operation, the solenoid 37 is turned on and one end of the heat insulating member 3 is pulled toward the solenoid 37 through an armature 36 and connecting bar 35. As a result, the heat insulating member 3 turns around the fulcrum 31 and is set to the position shown by the dotted line in the figure. |
