PURPOSE:To obtain a light diaphragm of high rigidity by forming the diaphragm body with a simple substance of light metal or its alloy to form on the body a coating layer of the matrix material in which metal particulates are dispersed and diposited. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm plate 1 is formed by a diaphragm plate body 1a made, for instance, of aluminum Al of purity of 99.9% as a light metal simple substance and the coating layer 1b coated on the front and back surfaces of this diaphragm body 1a. Of the coating layer 1b, the particulates 2 of approximate diameter of 0.5-1.0mu of SiC which is a metal carbide are uniformly dispersed and deposited in the Ni-P as a matrix material 3. As a result, the diaphragm thus made is lighter in comparison to a metal diaphragm of such as titanium, and possesses higher rigidity in comparison to the one formed by aluminum, and accordingly gives a faster transmission speed. The diaphragm, also, is able of propagation of higher frequency sound. Therefore, the characteristic of sound is improved. |
