Method for fixing the blade of a knife to the handle of the latter made from moulded material and knife thus produced. This fixing is performed by simply fitting the fang 3 of the blade 1 inside a slot 4 made in the handle 2, after having arranged, on one of the edges of this fang, a wedging pin 5 having a longitudinal groove allowing it to be set astride this edge. Moreover, in the location of the slot 4 of the handle there is provided, during the moulding of the latter, a recess 6 intended to receive this pin 5. The latter is thus introduced into this housing by force fitting at the same time as the fang 3 is engaged in the slot 4 of the handle. The present method allows the manufacturing costs of knives or other similar utensils to be reduced, whilst ensuring an excellent fixing of their blade to the corresponding handle. <IMAGE>
