PURPOSE:To provide a building paint compsn. which can form an uneven parttern by spray coating, by mixing a solvent-soluble acrylic resin, an aliph. hydrocarbon solvent, a pigment and a filler in such a proportion as to give a specified pigment volume concn. and a paint having a specified specific gravity. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic resin (A) having a solubility parameter of 9.5 or below and soluble in aliph. hydrocarbon solvents, an aliph. hydrocarbon solvent (B) such as mineral spirit, a pigment (C) such as titanium oxide and a filler (D) such as calcium carbonate are mixed together in such a proportion as to give a pigment volume concn. of 40-90% defined by the formula and a paint having a specific gravity of 1.5 or below, thus obtaining the desired paint compsn. An acrylic resin composed of 0.1-2wt% acrylic acid, 0.1-2wt% dialkylaminoethyl acrylate and 99.8-96wt% copolymerizable alpha,beta-unsaturated monomer is preferred as component A.
