A flat cassette viewer 33 contains both a film and an audio tape. A mirror 35 fits into a window cut into the lower surface of the cassette and sends back to the lens 40 a light beam generated by a source 36 and focused by an optical system 37-38. The image is formed on a matt screen 41. Photoelectric cells 43-44, situated in the sharp image plane, supply control signals for positioning the film and identifying the number of the exposure. Tape reading heads 45 penetrate into the cassette. The tape drive using capstan and idler roll is standard. <IMAGE>
