PURPOSE:To improve the recording/reproducing efficiency and to secure easy loading/ unloading of a recording medium by putting the tips of a main magnetic pole and its opposite auxiliary magnetic pole close to each other and having a vertical contact between the rubbing surface of the tip of the main magnetic pole and the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A rubbing surface 22 having a vertical contact with a vertically magnetized film 21 of a recording medium 17 is formed to a main magnetic pole 15 provided at the same face of the medium 17 together with an auxiliary magnetic pole 16. While the rubbing surfaces of a pair of supporters 23 holding the surface 22 between them are tapered. The tip of a counter face 24 of the pole 16 is approximate to the surface 22. When a winding 18 conducts, the magnetic fluxes delivered from the face 24 are concentrated to the surface 22 through a horizontally magnetized film 20. Thus the vertical magnetic recording is performed. The distance of transmission is small for the magnetic flux which passes through the film 20 since the face 24 and the surface 22 are approximate to each other. Thus the intensity of magnetic flux is never attenuated. This improves the recording/reproducing efficiency and also facilitates easy loading/ unloading of a recording medium since both main and auxiliary magnetic poles are set on the same plane. |
