PURPOSE:To enable automatic loading of a paper, particularly a single form in a short time by operating a controller according a generation signal with a switching of the press-fit position and the retraction position of a bail lever to control the turning of the platen at specified angle. CONSTITUTION:While a pinch roller 21 is pressed fit on the platen 15, with a bail lever 31 at the press-fit position D, a single form 19 is inserted into an insertion slot 20 until the tip 19a thereof about against the contact part between the platen 15 and the pinch roller 21. Then, after being pulled to the retraction position E, the bail lever 31 is turned and then, further to the press-fit position D. When the bail level 31 reaches the press-fit position D with one end 31a thereof engaging an actuation lever 32 just before the press-fit position D, a microswitch 34 is turned OFF. The bail lever 31 is elastically fixed at the press- fit position D while the single form is pressed fit on the platen 15 near the tip 19'a. Thus, the loading of the single form 19 is automatically completed. |
