摘要 PURPOSE:To set an azimuth accurately and quickly by detecting automatically the azimuth of solar radio waves and generating an error signal between the detected azimuth and a true azimuth of them. CONSTITUTION:An output video signal from a receiver 3 is inputted to an azimuth difference detecting circuit 5 to detect solar radio waves from the video signal. In this case, a middle point of solar radio waves is detected by a middle point detecting circuit 52, and a timing signal thetaM' is transmitted to a timing circuit 53 on a basis of a north signal, and the circuit 53 extracts the azimuth of solar radio waves only during the time corresponding to the true azimuth and holds it, and the azimuth thetaM' and a true azimuth thetaT are used to lead out a correcting value alpha by a correcting value detecting circuit 54, and this value is supplied to an azimuth correcting circuit 2. The circuit 2 corrects the north signal by alpha and supplies it as an accurate north signal to an indicating machine 4.
