PURPOSE:To ensure a vehicle to be driven running in safety, by deciding misoperation of the driver so as to enable the operation to be cancelled while the vehicle is driven running at a low speed and prevent a speed change condition from being immediately changed into the neutral condition while the vechicle is driven running at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:An automatic speed changer, providing a forward switch 14, reverse switch 15, accelerator pedal sensor 16, brake pedal sensor 17 and a car speed sensor 18 and inputting an output from each sensor to a control unit 12, decides operation of the driver whether it is normal operation or misoperation on the basis of his intention, and if the operation is misoperation, it can be cancelled while a vehicle is driven running at a low speed and a speed change condition is prevented from being immediately changed into the neutral condition while the vehicle is driven running at a high speed. In this way, running in safety can be ensured by eliminating the generation of a rapid change in a running condition of the vehicle even if the driver performs the misoperation. |
