OZONE REMOVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve ozone removing efficiency and to prevent temperature rise of ambient articles by the heat generated from an electric motor by conducting the heat generated from the electric motor to an ozone removing member through a heat pipe provided between the driving motor and the ozone removing member to elevate the temp. of the ozone removing member. CONSTITUTION:An ozone removing agent 1 prepd. by mixing powdery metal oxide such as MnO2 or PbO2 with a binder for an electrostatic recording device is coated on an external enclosing member 2 of the ozone removing device. The heat generated by a driving motor 3 during actuation of the electrostatic recording device is transmitted to the external enclosing member 2 through a heat pipe 4 to elevate the temp. of the ozone removing agent 1. The ozone generated during operation of corona dischargers 7a-7b is sucked forcibly by a sirocco fan 5 and is allowed to contact with the ozone removing agent 1 having increased ozone removing efficiency by the temp. rise. The gas freed of ozone is discharged to the outside of the device.
