PURPOSE:To prevent floating-up of a block to be pressed to a roller by cutting aslant the end of the contact surface of the block. CONSTITUTION:Surface 2 of a stationary table 1 is finished flat, whereupon a plurality of rollers 3 are placed, and further thereupon a traveling block 4 is placed whose under-surface 5 has been finished flat. This block 4 is moved horizontally in the condition that the downward directed load is being received by the abovementioned stationary table 1 through the rollers 3. The end cd of the block 4 including the corner 7 is cut aslant in the direction as ce. Thereby the block 4 gets on the non-loaded roller 8 afloat, and the load bearing part of the roller 8 will increase by and by from the lower part of the point c. Thus the roller 8 sinks gradually from its one of ends without application of a greater load at one time. |
