<p>PURPOSE:To keep a certain erroneous alarm probability to prevent degradation of a detection rate of target signals by extracting a maximum value of a radar reception signal with clutter removed in each prescribed region and subjecting it to smoothing or the like in every radar scanning to set a detection threshold. CONSTITUTION:A maximum value detector 5 detects a maximum value of the radar reception signal with clutter removed in each prescribed small region. This maximum value is smoothed throughout prescribed radar scanning by a smoother 6 and is multiplied by a coefficient of the function between an erroneous alarm rate from a terminal 3 and a hit counted value of a hit counter 9 by a detection reference controller 7 to obtain a threshold signal, and this signal is supplied to a signal detector 8 to detect a target signal. By this constitution using the prescribed proper threshold, degradation of the detection rate is prevented to enhance the target detection rate while keeping a certain erroneous alarm probability.</p> |
