PURPOSE:To provide a highly impact-resistant transparent nylon compsn. having good moldability and excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance, by blending a magnesium halide with a polyamide resin having a high amide group content. CONSTITUTION:2.6-13pts.wt. (in terms of magnesium) magnesium halide such as magnesium chloride is blended with 10pts.wt. polyamide resin contg. 14-17 amide groups per 100 carbon atoms, such as nylon 6 or nylon 66. The compsn. has good impact resistance at a low temp. in particular.
