PURPOSE:To obtain a data transfer quantity concerning a specified channel command word after an input/output processing is completed by having a flag to designate the presence and absence of the integration of the data transfer quantity in the channel command word. CONSTITUTION:When CPU1 executes an input output instruction and a channel 14 issues an input output starting instruction, first, an integrating transfer quantity of the value of a register area 146 is set to '0'. Next, a microprocessor MPU141 takes out a channel command word CCW1 from a channel control CCB in a main memory 12, and stores it to a register area 144. Continuously, MPU11 decodes a command code of CCW1, a corresponding micro program is executed and the execution of CCW1 is completed, and then, a flag to designate the presence and absence of the data transfer quantity integration installed in CCW1 is checked. Thus, the data transfer quantity concerning a special CCW can be obtained at the time of the input output processing completion. |
