PURPOSE:To enable an ignition plug of being disposed to the center of a cylinder by mounting a cam shaft in the position displaced from the axis of the cylinder to drive two followers and having one of the followers open one valve while the other open the other valve via a push rod. CONSTITUTION:An ignition plug 14 is disposed approximately along a cylinder axis Ac, and an intake valve 10 and an exhaust valve 11 are arranged on both sides of the ignition plug 14. A cam shaft 21 is placed in the proximity to one 11 of the valves so as to drive primary and secondary cam followers 25 and 31. The other 10 of the valves is opened by the primary cam follower 25. The secondary follower 31 is supported by a primary hollow supporting shaft 28 positioned in the proximity to the valve 10. A reciprocating arm 33 which opens and closes the valve 11 is supported by the secondary hollow supporting shaft 29 positioned in the proximity to the valve 11. The secondary follower 31 and the reciprocating arm 33 are connected by a push rod 34. Resultingly, lubricating oil is carried through the hollow supporting shaft 28, having each friction part lubricated therewith. |
